So on
Tuesday it was a crazy day. I went to emigration with Elder Cayteano
then we went to this cell phone center to buy 2 new sim cards for 2 cell
phones that some elders lost. Anyway so we got there I accidentally
gave them one of the wrong numbers so they ended up canceling a number
that wasn't lost, so there we 3 elders without cell phones, it was a
huge problem, we ended up not being able to work that whole day and
missing some important appointments, not fun. There is nothing worse
that having to miss area time. Anyway. the next day was awesome, it was
Zone Conference. We heard from the head of security from the church and
Brother Swenson, the head of operations of the missionary department. So
yes mom I did meet him, kind of. He spoke to us in Portuguese and we
all understood everything, it was so cool. Portuguese is just Spanish
with a weird ascent and jumbled up, but I can understand it almost
perfectly. Anyway he gave an amazing presentation, then followed by
President Walker, which was also amazing. President walker told us that
now all the missions in Mexico are working like this, also said that we
don't have to keep our mouths shut all the time, we can contact if we
feel the spirit prompting us to. We have been given a lot more freedom
with talking to people. I really like that. I felt the spirit so strong
in zone conference. I have helped been so much by the Lord this week.
You have no idea, He is the reason I do everything, He has given me
literally everything. I will do anything for Him. I know he lives and he
helps us. I am so grateful for his help.
So this week as far as investigators it was good and bad. Juan
Sergio is doing really good but didn't go to church. He doesn't have any
money and can't find work. We have told him over and over again that
the Lord will take care of it if he does what he's suppose to do. Sunday
we called him and he said he had to go look for work, sad but its
alright, he is still progressing. This week we found a lot of old
investigators that past missionaries have taught. 2 of which are Gabi a
12 year old who wants to be baptized and Sandra her mom who want to be
baptized....but.. shes not married, but her husband wants to get
married... but he is not divorced....but that's not going to stop us, we
will see how it goes. We have some other investigators but they are not
really progressing, we see how things go.
Maybe the coolest thing from the week was yesterday in church.
Elder Bennett and I had to talk in sacrament. I was pretty nervous
cause talks in Spanish are really, really hard. So I was praying and
right before I got up to talk I felt a peace and I got up there and the
talk went really, really good. I had even forgotten my glasses but I was
able to find all the scriptures and read them and it flowed really
well. I know that it was the Holy Ghost, it is one of the cooler
experiences I have had on the mission to feel like your just a vessel
for the Holy Ghost. Sunday and Saturday were just great. Part of the
reason was for the the weather!!! It was cold, finally, well not cold
but chilly. Everyone here has been dying but Elder Bennett and I have
been as happy as can be. Life is so much better when it is not hot....
and put that as doctrine.
This week is going to be busy. It's the week before transfers, lots
to prepare. This has been the fastest transfer of my mission, super
fast!! Elder Bennett will probably leave. I'll for sure stay. Mom I
could be here for a while. I was looking of who could be my replacement
and I don't see really any prospects. I could be here for a while haha,
keep praying that I don't loose my hair or it turns gray. But like Jason
says, stress isn't a Christlike attribute.
Alright well its been a good week.
OHHh HAPPY BIRTHDAY BREYA!!

Thanks a ton for the pictures. Mom I don't need a package. but if you did send one,.. more socks.
Okay

Elder Clark
