Well what a week. I have about 1000000000,00000000000
things to do and about 1000000000000000,0000000000.99 things in my head
so i don't know where to start.
Okay so first of The cambios
were on Thursday?' What? yeah it was special transfers for the whole
mission. everyone was told on Wednesday at like 7 at night and had to
leave the next morning. So as far as me the cambios went like this.... I
am staying in Guadalupe and my new Companion is Elder Cayetano! the
Executive secretary, and elder Bennett went to the old area of Elder
Cayetano with Elder Buhler. so it was just a switch of companions in the
offices. wooww. We were not expecting that. I Really like Elder
Cayetanos, we are already really good friends. He reminds me a ton of
Jason, a ton. However this means I will be here at least another 2
transfers, and also elder cayetano which I have no idea when I will
leave and how I will train my new finance elder when I'm companions with
elder cayetano who will also have to train somebody to take his place.
It looks like president doesn't have it planed out which means I should
be here a while longer. Which means I will break the record for longest
time as financial Secretary in this mission. Well what can you do, but
I'm at peace with it all, I have no complaints.
The only thing is that right now I am just so busy. The end of the
year in finances is the worst time ever, at least in the church.
president was telling his end of year stories as controller of fiances
how he would just bring his clothes and blanket and stuff to his office
and work until late and then crash in his office until the next day. So
he told me today pretty much ¨sorry but that's how it is¨. Please Please
wish me luck.
Okay so yesterday on Sunday I got a call From my old area Pedregal
and on the other End of the line was Elder Montejano( who had finished
his mission in August). I don't know if you guys remember me talking
about Jauny and Andres back in May and June, well juany finally got
Baptized!! and elder Miontejano Came from his house to Baptize her. I
was sooooo pumped. Elder Montejano and I found her knocking doors, I
really care about her so much and was so sad when I heard she still
wasn't baptized. so that was a highlight of the week
Okay so Christmas call. So I'm really sorry that I told you guys
unofficially last week that it would be on Christmas day in the morning
because its not going to be. It will be on Sunday the 23rd! I'm sorry
president changed his mind. So I need you guys to call me At 7:00 PM
Monterrey Time. ( I think its 6 your time)

It's still been warm all week so it doesn't quiet feel like Christmas.
It
was a good week. I Feel really good with elder cayetano as my
companion, I know we have a lot of success together. He is pretty
excited too. He was really sad on Wednesday and Thursday about the
change but on Sunday in church he fell in love with the Ward. He said
he had been praying a ton for help to be more spiritual and he says that
this change was the answer to his prayers. On Tuesday everyone in my
whole generation( who have the exact same time as a missionary as me)
slept in the offices, it was so fun. I got to hang out with Elder
Wieberg and Elder Powell.
Last night we had a lesson with Saul the Mexican American, it was
in Spanglish, he talked to me in English and then would explain things
to elder cayetano in Spanish. But anyway we got there and as we were
walking into his house he told me that we didn't want the Book of Mormon
or to talk about Joseph smith and started to just go off on the Book of
Mormon. He had read the introduction, the testimony of Joseph Smith
and the witnesses and some random war chapters in Alma. We gave him the
Book of Mormon when we meet him so he didn't know anything about the
restoration and he was super confused and mad and defensive, so I
started to explain it all but that just brought up more questions
including how angel Moroni could be resurrected if were not going to be
resurrected until the second coming. So I felt like we needed to say a
prayer and we did, Elder cayetano and I explained the heck out of it
all, and gave our testimonies and by the end he was willing to read the
Book of Mormon and pray to know. I Have a testimony of the power of
testimony. I bore mine in English and I was able to express exactly what
I wanted to with all my sincerity, and it change his whole thinking.
I know that the Book of Mormon is true, I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet. I know it through the power of the holy ghost.
