hola family. im soo glad to hear all about michelles graduation and stuff, i remeber mine like it was yesterday.
well this week... i feel like i lived a year this week, it was quite the week. the ups and downs were pretty legit.
so monday we had an apointment with edwardo are convert, we knew he
keept smoking and stuff after his babtism and hadnt gone to church but
when we went to his house he told us that he doent have to go to church
because other churches have the athourortiy to, and that he knows jospeh
smith was a prophet and the book of mormon is true ... <hes read the
whole thing.. knows the bible super well > but doesnt believe that
all his teaching were correct and that tomas monson isnt a phophet and
that were all saved already. and tons of stuff, so we were there forever
trying to explain thourgh scriptures but his heart is super closed , we
were there so long that were late getting back to the house.. elder
montejano and i ,, i think i was more,,, were so frustrated. we just
are gonna keep inviting him to pray and ask god and hope for the best.
the hard thing this week was that we really didnt have anyone to
visit we searched and searched in our agendas and nobody was home ever,
but we keep working really hard and prayin and had faith and we would
end up having a sucessfull day .
this week we tought andreas and juany again and andreas is super
interested, hes read all weve givin him and came to church and loved it.
juany his wife couldnt cause all of the sudden she has to work sundays.
she ask us to pray for her so she could get them off. there babtism
date is set for the 30th of june and she needs to go to church one more
time before that or she cant be babtized.
the other hard thing this week was that oscar the 16 year old we
have been teaching, his mom wont let him get babtized till he is 18. his
dad is fine with it but his mom says it is a inpardiable sin to be
rebabtized < he was babtized as a baby in the catholic chuch, with
the rest of mexico>
we tought to both juany and to oscor about the power of prayer and
fasting, elder montejano and i fasted saterday into sunday for them.
thursday night there was a storm and our power went out, which ment
our swamp cooler went out so we had to sleep without it wich is not
fun. we had to open all the doors wich let all the mosqitoes in. it was
an interestin night, but i actually was able to sleep pretty well. we
didnt eat anything that night cause we couldnt cook the next day was
saterday and we couldnt eat breakfast cause the power was still out. we
worked the whole day and the sister gave us a small lunch. it rained the
whole day wich was a huge blessing, i loved every second of the cool
rain. that night we walked home and i was praying, and i felt sooo good,
i felt so close the the savior. monterrey look amazing after the rain. i
was so happy to be here in this mission. monterrey is such a cool
place. i learned this week that our misson is the hardest place to
babtize in all of mexico. numbers wise. i know it is where i am supposed
to be, i am gratefull for the learning experines.
i could write so much about this week. it was my all time most memoriable week in my mission. i didnt even write tons of stuff.
we had a lot of investigators at church. we found a 13 year old golllldeen investigator.
i know that we can always always put our trust in the lord, i know
he hears our prayers. iknow that they really are there. just like you
said in your letter mom
i am out of time. tomorrrow we have inteviews with presiednt walker.
