Then we went to conference and it was unreal. I loved Elder Bednar and
Elder Hollands and President Monson's talks. Elder Bendar talked about
the same thing when he came here and also in the MTC. In Zone conference
we watched a talk from Elder Holland in The MTC that was almost the
same talk, absolutely unreal. It really does come down to how much we
love the savior.
I know that this is the work of the lord. there is not a single doubt in my mind.
The
reason i loved President Monsons Talk about prayer is for the following
thing that happened this week. This was the highlight of my week. we
got a reference this week from a member that is this lady named Lorena.
the member just knew her from getting his hair cut one time from her,
had never gone there before, just went this time. She told him about all
the problems she was having and he told her he could help and would
come by later and give her a book of Mormon. So he told us to go with
the book of Mormon. We got there and she let us in super fast, then she
started to tell us all the things that she was going through and all
these problems( a ton of problems, a lot) then she told us that she had
been praying and praying for help and she didn't feel like she got a
response or answer. She told us that she had been praying for a sign.
While I was listening I knew that we were that answer to her prayers.
Overwhelming feelings of gratitude filled me, I knew that we were the
Lords messengers and he had lead us there. We had an amazing lesson and
testified that God had answered her prayers. She said she is going to
read the book of Mormon. I haven't meet a more humble and willing
investigator on my mission. She was like¨ tell me what I have to do¨ it
was unreal. We left with a prayer and the spirit was overwhelming in the
prayer. She was crying and we left just saying wow. I know that the
Lord hears prayers and that this is his work. It is those kinds of
experiences that makes every second of the mission worth it. I am just
in awe of how the Lord is in charge and directs his work.
That combined with general conference it was just unreal week. It
gave me so much courage and motivation to keep fighting with all I have.
I cant seem to figure out this financial secretary stuff. I cant seem
to be able to ever get everything done. In conference they talked a lot
about trials. I loved elder Anderson's Talk!! This is the hardest trial I
have ever had, but i know it is because the Lord loves me, Ive known
since I was asgnigeed to be here that it was the lords will. I am so
grateful for the Lord. I know i can do it.
Wow haha I loved the birthday wishes! I laughed really hard! thanks for all the love. It has lifted me up so much.
The
Age changed was so cool!!! I was so pumped! I am not going to say
anything about Michelle in this email. I am going to email my thoughts
to her. So ask her if you really want to know. Missionary work is
becoming more and more urgent. the Lord is moving his cause forward like
no other. Just think about it, all the attention on the church, the
change of working in Mexico, age change. it is go time! I was surprised
when President Monson announced it but not really cause I can feel the
change of urgency in the mission work.
I am so grateful for an amazing family.
