So first of all
Monday I was one stressed Elder Clark. I tried not to show it but son of
a gun I was dying. I'm telling ya this position is tough stuff. But
Monday night I prayed and decided I cant do it by my own. The next
morning was Tuesday, there were some emergency transfers and I had to
almost coordinate everything. I work from like 7 in the morning until
the food and then we had to come back to the offices to finish. It was
really stressful, but here's the thing, I could feel the stress but it
didn't get inside me. I could feel it like on my shoulders but it just
sat there and didn't get to me. It was like there was an force field
around me. It was answer to my prayers. I am so grateful for the Lords
strength. I'm still behind and have tons to do but I can deal with it.
The lord is making it possible, I didn't think it was but now it is.
Then I had some amazing personal studies. I focused all my studies
to the Savior and his teachings. I read and studied The Living Christ,
it is my favorite document in the world. I know that the savior lives.
if I just focus on him and have faith in him in all my aspects of my
mission, it all works out and I can not fail and I receive strength and
anything is possible, depending on my faith in Him.
Oh maybe the best part of my week was getting your guys package!
holy santa corbatas aka ties, that's like sending a million pesos.
Thanks for the pictures, the talks, the notes, the drawings and the
food.
This week went by so fast it was crazy!
So Saturday we
had a lesson with Luci with our new ward missionaries. They were called
last Sunday and it was their first calling thing. They loved it so much,
they are so excited. they are a young married couple of about 25 who
were inactive til about a year ago and this is both there first
callings. you gotta see how happy they are and excited. They are a super
special couple, part of the reason they loved the lesson so much is
because Luci is amazing. She is in 1 Nephi 23 after about 3 or 4 weeks,
the thing is she has no time, she works til late and then goes to bed,
but she finds time to read. An example to us all. it is also interesting
that in our first few lessons she had a lot of Cristian ideas and
catholic ideas but as she's been reading the Book of Mormon we haven't
heard a peep of apostasy ha. She has just been telling us about how much
peace she get from reading the Book of Mormon. then in the lesson the
brother shared his testimony of the Book of Mormon and how much it helps
us.
The next day was Sunday, in sacrament meeting the accepted
tradition of talks is just open up true to faith and read the entire
section that is your topic and then say amen. It's pretty brutal.
Yesterday we were reading about the second coming and the atonement, not
to mention the microphone didn't work. Good thing Luci already has a
super strong testimony. After we had another lesson with her which was
on follow the prophet and tithing. She is all ready for her baptism
which is this Saturday. Gotta love it.
This week I put more effort into my Spanish and it is paying off.
Something that was awesome is that the mission just got new phones for
every companionship, they are way better and I can actually understand
people now ( I get non stop calls from the missionaries and I can never
understand what they want)
Last p day we had an office barbecue with us an the assistants. It was a blast, I am addicted to carne asada.
I
don't really want to much for my birthday, my birthday last year is
good enough till I get home. I am in need of some things though but it
doesn't have to be for my birthday.
I need weight gaining protein, and its kinds expensive here. also some other things( watch, razor and backpack)
so
if you could put some money in my card it would be easier than sending
stuff. I do really want a flash drive to be able to put my pictures on
and stuff.
My shirt size is classic fit 16 1/2 BUT THEY ARE TOO BIG. i am disappearing so they are like bath robes.
i don't need garments, I order them on line. I would like a copy of The Testaments though.
My Ipod.. yeah send it here. but kinda hide it in the package please.
Thanks your the best.
Love you all.
thanks so much for the prayers. I read every week that you guys are
praying for me a ton and I stop and think back I can tell when I felt
those prayers answered.
Cuidense mucho. Les Amo
Elder Clark
